HENDRICKSON Award
Joe Hendrickson was one of the founding members of the society. He had a huge greenhouse across the street from the Senior Center. He and Frank Fordyce were close friends and did a lot of hybridization in Joe’s greenhouse.
Each year a member who has gone above and beyond in service to the society is given this award.

Mel Dittmer Award
The Mel Ditmer award is given in honor of Mel Ditmer who founded the Napa Valley Orchid Society in 1958. This award is given annually to a member who has earned the greatest number of points for the orchids they have brought to the monthly meetings for Show and Tell.
